The principle of the conductor optical amplifier is similar to that of the rare earth-doped fiber amplifier, but there are also differences. Its amplification characteristics mainly depend on the dielectric characteristics of the active layer and the characteristics of the laser cavity.

There are two types of SOA: one is to use the usual semiconductor laser as an optical amplifier, called F-P semiconductor laser amplifier (FPA); the other is to coat the two end faces of the F-P laser with an anti-reflection film to eliminate the reflection for wide frequency band, high output, low noise.


HTF launched SOA series optical amplifier products can be 1290nm ~1320nm wavelength range to achieve amplification. It can be easily used in 10G / 40G / 100G transmission system, the maximum can support 160G/s rate. SOA optical amplifier can be used for booster amplification, pre-amplification and other occasions.
