Last time one of our customers bought 100G SR4 MPO 100M, They feedbacked compatible with Juniper QFX5110 Switch, and will order more from us in 2020.
And he has another questions, so we would like share at here.
1.How to connect the 2 transceivers in 2 switches with a patch cord directly? So we provide him a solution, like the following picture shows.
①Use Juniper QFX5110-32Q to test the modules.
②100G SR4 MPO 100M QSFP28 modules.
③Patch cord 12core MPO/PC-MPO/PC 12 ribbon MM SX OM3 50/125um PVC 3M TypeB(PIN1connect PIN12) Female-Female on both end.
2.Some knowledge of MPO patch cord
1.Type A: PIN1 connect PIN12, Type B:PIN1 connect PIN2
2.If need to connect between 2 QSFP28 modules, have to use Type B. And Type A mostly be used like extension cord, not so common in real application.
3.The MPO patch cord is Female to Female if need to connect with 2 modules directly.
3.How to connect the cabling system with the high speed networks in data center?
That‘s common but a little more complicated. We use rackmount fiber to complete the interconnection.
Like the picture shows,
①we imagine you use Juniper QFX5110-32Q to test the modules.
②100G SR4 MPO 100M QSFP28 modules.
