DWDM is a dense wavelength division multiplexing technology that can multiplex multiple optical carriers into one optical fiber for transmission. Its product application scenarios are rich, mainly backbone networks, metropolitan area networks, data center interconnection, and cable television networks.
Backbone network
– Long-distance transmission: used for inter-provincial and inter-city communication backbone lines, such as optical fiber networks connecting major cities, which can achieve signal transmission of thousands of kilometers and meet the needs of long-distance and large-capacity data transmission.
– Network expansion and upgrade: On the existing optical fiber infrastructure, by superimposing optical signals of different wavelengths through DWDM technology, the network transmission capacity can be quickly increased without laying new optical fibers, reducing construction costs and time.
Metro network
– Multi-service bearing: It can simultaneously transmit multiple service types such as voice, data, and video to meet the diverse business needs of different users in the metropolitan area network.
– Enterprise interconnection: Provide high-speed dedicated connections between different parks and branches for large enterprises to ensure efficient and secure transmission of internal enterprise data.
Data center interconnection
– Massive data transmission: It can achieve high-speed data interaction between multiple data centers to meet business needs such as data backup, data synchronization, and distributed computing.
– Resource integration and optimization: Support the flexible allocation and integration of data center resources, improve resource utilization and business response speed.
Cable TV network
– Video signal transmission: A large number of HD and UHD video channel signals can be transmitted to each cable TV front end or sub-front end via one optical fiber, improving signal transmission efficiency and quality.
– Network two-way transformation: Help cable TV networks achieve two-way transmission, support interactive TV, video on demand and other two-way services.
