The HT6800-WSS09 is a Twin 1×9 All-Optical Wavelength Selective Switch (WSS) card for the HT6800 DCI DWDM Optical Transmission System. Supporting 96 DWDM channels on the ITU-T 50 GHz C-band grid across 9 independently controlled add/drop ports, it enables fully reconfigurable ROADM nodes with colorless and directionless operation. Features integrated BA+PA amplifiers, MON, OSC, and OTDR interfaces. Occupies 2 slots.

Dynamically selects any of 96 DWDM channels across 9 independent add/drop ports, enabling full ROADM functionality at each branching node.

Colorless & Directionless

Supports colorless and directionless ROADM operation, enabling any wavelength to be routed to any port without physical reconfiguration.

High-Resolution Integrated VOA

Per-channel integrated VOA with 0–15 dB dynamic range and 0.1 dB resolution, enabling precise per-channel power equalization across all ports.

Integrated BA + PA Amplifiers

Built-in Booster Amplifier (BA) and Pre-Amplifier (PA) ports eliminate the need for external EDFA modules, reducing chassis slot usage and cost.

OSC, MON & OTDR Interfaces

Supports OSC 1510 nm for remote management, MON ports for optical power monitoring, and OTDR 1625 nm for fiber fault detection.

Fast Channel Switching

Port switching response ≤3000 ms, with ≤1400 ms for <2 dB steps and ≤2000 ms for <15 dB steps, enabling rapid network reconfiguration.
