1. How to use passive WDM to solve the problem of lacking optical fiber resources for long-distance transmission between DU-AAU in the C-RAN architecture?


Through the deployment of passive wavelength division multiplexer on the side of DU and AAU and the replacement of the original white optical module on the wireless equipment with the supporting color optical module, the service optical signals of different wavelengths can be provided, and the passive wavelength division multiplexing on both sides can be realized.

It can reuse the service optical signals of different wavelengths on one core optical fiber for two-way transmission to replace optical cable laying. The passive WDM system provides a low-cost and high-performance optical fiber expansion solution for operators.

2. HTF Passive wdm Application scenario
(1) Mainly applicable to the end-to-point CRAN networking scenario requirements;
(2) No power for remote system with the ability of outdoor deployment.

(3) Passive mux/demux can be deployed together with AAU to handle single-station service, or can be deployed at optical intersection site to converge multi-station service.

3. Passive WDM Solution feature
(1) Color optical modules are used in the AAU and DU side to connect each other based on the passive WDM;
(2) Significant saving of fibers with optional channels of 6/12/18/24/48;
(3) Similar to optical direct drive with high bandwidth and low delay;
(4) The solution is passive. It’s simple to use and fast to deploy.
